The term smart phone is coined from mobile phone which came on the screen in 1983 as DynaTAC 8000x was commercially available. Since then Mobile phone industrially has progressed abruptly. And I won’t be wrong in saying that mobile phones are actually taking over computers and other accessories rather quickly and sooner or later it will literally be a one stop gadget for everything. Smartphone is a high end mobile phone. IBM launched the 1st ever smart phone in 1992; IBM Simon. Since then mobile phone technology has progressed rapidly integrating a lot of hi-tech accessories. The concept was to give a wireless device to replace landline but it went so far that even internet, camera and computer software’s were incorporated in mobile phone initially. Kyocera VP-210 was the first camera phone introduced in 1997 with both the phone and camera capabilities in the market and now no one can deny the fact that mobile phone cameras are as good as any camera produced now days. 3rd Generation or 3G has taken the internet browsing experience to another level with 4G just around the corner. We can do almost everything using our cell phone; you can prepare presentations, browse, chat, take pictures, listen to music and communicate with almost everyone.What can be expected from Smart Phones?
In near future Smartphone will be your soul mate. It will become one stop shop It will entertain you, give you information about everything, will be a security alarm, and let you know about your daily routine, help in tourism, you will be able to pay your hotel bill so no worries about taking cash anywhere, will work as a remote control for your electronic home appliances and whatnot will help you talk. For some technology is a hazard and it increases the gap between people. According to this sector people are becoming more and more insensitive with the use of technology.
